![]() ![]() I tell him to get a mechanic that worked on it to talk to because I don't trust this guy at all. Lo and behold it's not permanently damaged and they replaced the gaskets and checked the engine. He finally gets me a crappy loaner while they hopefully "fix" my engine. I have an extended warranty and it's a manufacturer defect to boot. Idiot Tim think's I'm going to pay him and I tell him it's not going to happen. So I talk to Idiot Tim in front of several other waiting customers making it a point to ask about this known manufacturing defect in front of other people. WOW Chevrolet.you're a disgrace to the automotive industry. He tells me the dealership shouldn't charge me a penny for a manufacturer's defect and that they're trying to RIP ME OFF. I then get a call while I'm in the waiting room at the dealership from nice guy Bob, who manages the extended warranty. I call the extended warranty and give the contact info for my extended warranty to Idiot Tim. I go back and forth with an idiot named TIM. ![]() Let me remind you this is the first time I had witnessed my engine overheat and I pulled over and parked instead of continuing to drive, but because I'm female the dealership assumes I'm too stupid to know what I'm talking about. I go to the only dealership in the area and they claim it's an engine problem, related to head gaskets and they'll have to check it and make sure the engine isn't damaged. After my SUV cools down I take it directly to the only dealership in a 200 mile radius. We talk about it, call a relative and relay the issue. No pending maintenance is listed so I call my dad. If I can't do it then I record where and when I took my SUV in for service too. I first checked all of my fluids (except transmission), made sure to check the maintenance in my book where I record what I do and when. I'd park, turn off the engine, but the cooling fan would stay on and I timed it for 8 minutes. I noticed on the drive to my college classes for a whole seven minutes, my Equinox's engine would get hot. ![]()
